I recently returned from a trip to Pennsylvania where I was able to meet with some of our supporters and speak in a supporting church. Praise the Lord for that congregation which is celebration its 105th anniversary. Over the past few months, as we have visited our supporting churches, I have been able to re-connect with some of the people that I mentored years ago. I have been reminded of God's sovereignty and unfathomable design as well as the privilege it is to participate with the Lord as He works His grace into the lives of those we come in contact with. I could have never predicted how the Lord would be using those "kids" now. One of the take aways for me this year will be to stop guessing who and how the Lord can use this person or that person as I teach and develop them.
