Hello again.
Well, it seems this webpage has gone a bit underground for several years. It is our desire to catch you up a bit. So sit with me, if you will, for a while.
Since the full scale invasion of Ukraine our lives have changed quite a bit. We have so many contacts and friends in Ukraine that it was natural for us to step into ministering to Ukrainians who came to Prague to find respite.
Over the past 4 plus years we have been involved with various outreaches for and making new friends with Ukrainians. It has been a tough journey as we have watched our beloved Ukrainians hurt and struggle. It has been a huge blessings as we have walked along side these friends and have made new friends and seen some healing come to them.
We are now involved in a Ukrainian church plant called Bible Church Prague. I, Debby, am learning a little Ukrainian (other than what I have picked up by osmosis:)). We have much to be grateful for.
In other things, Greg continues to coach both leaders and football players. He is also helping our mission with onboarding new missionaries. It has been a joy to watch people come to Europe who have a desire to bring Christ to the Nations here.
I, Debby, have really enjoyed diving into ministry in Austria. As that is where I grew up, it is so wonderful to continue some of the work that my parents had been involved in while living there. It has been 60 years since mom and dad (and my brothers and I) entered Austria and called it our home.
So where is home? That is a great question. As we enter into pre-retirement age (or perhaps one of us is nearly there ;)). We are trying to figure out where our next home will be. We know where our final destination and home is, but on this earth....not sure yet. We are always told not to make our children the deciding factor as they may (and often do) move. So we are asking ourselves where we could see ourselves serving and also enjoying life during our last years here on earth. Both of us love being outside. We don't love the heat so much. We are in process of making a list of our top 5 choices. Austria is actually on that list (I did not say the list was entirely sensible;))
Anyways, not sure anyone is reading this, but this is our current journey and a bit of how we got here over the past few years.
In all of this, we find that God is really all that we need. He has been and is always so good. Sometimes we see His goodness, other times we wait and hope for His goodness. Our past experience with God has grown our trust in Him. Our future hope is growing our joy in Him.
