A quick trip to visit Bethany Baptist in Peoria, Illinois. This church has been very active in Youth Praha and it was great to connect with friends from our kids Czech Camp.

Things in Wheaton have settled into a routine. We are in the Wheaton Furlough Homes. Debby is taking a class at the college and Greg is doing much of what he was doing for GEM from Wheaton. We attended several of our supporting church's mission conferences these past months.

Debby in Austria

Debby was asked to speak at a women's conference in Austria last week and she did an outstanding job. The congregation was one of the church's her family helped start in the 1970's. Many of the women comment that it was one of the best conferences they had been to. She spoke on some things she has been learning about "Letting Go" and "letting God". This is a picture with some of the women who have known her since she was a little girl. It was such a blessing to return to Austria and see God working through her.

Church Planting Conference

It has been a great week here in Prague. I have been leading chapel for our students as well as a conference sponsored by Greater Europe Mission on church planting. We had 30 attenders to this training. We have done the training 3 times in the past but this is the first time that European nationals were the majority. There were participants from 10 countries and it is exciting to consider what could happen with the plans they are making.

All back together...sort of

The four Nichols are back together...sort of. Nic arrived safely but without his bags and some good experience of flight changes and missing connecting flights. His time in the USA was great. The day after he landed, we picked up has bag at the airport and headed to Budapest to pick Selina up from camp. The next day we dropped them off at the TCK camp in Czech Republic. So, since Nic has been home, we have had a few hours in the car but most of that was them sleeping. We are all looking forward to this weekend when we will all be together again.

Nic has arrived safely to Colorado Springs and doing well. Debby, Selina and I are missing him already and praying for a significant summer as he grows into an adult. I have been working on various projects; rebuilt the tree house and hung some new swings but Debby thinks I am crazy becasue Nic is gone for the summer and Selina will be at camp half the summer. If you build it, they will come (back).

Most of the seminary students have left Prague but our children are still in school until the end of June. Selina and Nic both have camping trips this weekend so it will be quiet around the house. I am enjoying getting caught up on my "to do" lists both the one for the office and the yard. I am back to my horseback riding again which is great. Several missionary families whom we have been close to are leaving Prague this summer so it has been some sad goodbyes.

Nic came back from his weekend camping exhausted. He did about 40 kilometers with a backpack. It is for the International Award which is like scouting. He is getting ready for Tanzania and tomorrow will be taking his last shots before the trip. Selina had a great birthday and we redecorated her room as a gift to her. She loves it.

Things are going well. Work on the GEM side of my life has been busy with several large administrative responsibilities but they are nearly finished. I am now focusing on the IBTS role again, finishing my student interviews, getting the Tuesday Night Bible studies started and forming the Social Committee.
